Live Simply

I saw this print on pinterest and loved it. The colors are beautiful and I love the message. I can't wait to purchase this print from The Painted Arrow and hang it in my home along with this print.

The message of this print really struck home for me this week. The other day my mom looked at my keychain and jokingly told me I didn't really need a keychain since I don't have any keys. Funny but kind of sad. Right now I don't have a house nor do I have a car. No, I'm not currently living on the streets and I do have a car to use if I need to, but I don't have a car or house to call my own. To top it all off, my mint condition iphone 5 was stolen. Not funny and very sad. Not that I want to admit it, but I did mope around for a few days due to forced iphone detox. No snapchat?? GASP. Although I am still adjusting to an old droid my sister let me borrow (team iphone for life), it has really been an eye opening experience for me. Things in life are really just that, things. Do we need a house, car, or phone to be happy? Absolutely not. We seem to get so caught up in the luxuries of life we forget what is important. Family, friends, faith, things we can't buy. Once this transition period is over and we are settled in Okinawa, I will once again have a house, car, and iphone. I hope I don't let the physical things in life consume me. I hope I can live simply and enjoy the little things.

Until next time,

M

  1. I love that print and the message it gives too! Things really aren't what are important in life and it's so easy to get caught up in the material world and lose sight of that.
