Friday Five 9/6

Here we are at Friday again. This is our very last weekend in the States, so we are ready to make it a good one! Our week was full of errand running and making some last preparations for Japan. We did fit in some fun, though.

ONE I met up with a friend to get pedicures. I was in desperate need of one. Pedicures are seriously one of my favorite things. Who is with me?? I usually go with interesting colors like gray or blue instead of the traditional pink or red. I decided on this pinkish purple this time and LOVE it. I get happy every time I look down at my toes. It's the little things, people. I may need to go back to the nail place and buy it from them.

TWO My MIL and I went on a little shopping adventure the other night. She found some super cute cowboy boots for her Rascal Flatts concert. We ended the evening at one of my favorite places, Smashing Tomatoes. Their tomato basil soup is seriously the best I have ever tasted. They even put chicken in it. Yes, I got two cups of it. They were very small cups, so I didn't feel too bad. On a side note, notice the picture quality? Yep, totally ready to not have this piece of crap phone anymore.

THREE On our shopping trip, we found this incredible suitcase. Sounds lame, how exciting can a suitcase be? But really, this thing is the bomb. You may think it is just your typical carry-on wheelie suitcase, but you can also carry it like a duffle bag or use the straps on the back to carry it like a backpack. How cool is that?? I wish I would have discovered this gem earlier in life.

FOUR We are currently living in a zoo. There are 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 turtles living with us right now. It gets pretty wild, but the dogs are enjoying each others' company. The cable man was over fixing something yesterday and I think he was shocked by how many animals were running around.

FIVE Last night I had a fun outing with these lovely ladies. We went down to Thursday Night Live, a concert series in town, and then to one of my favorite restaurants, Local Taco. It was so much fun catching up and being silly with them.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I will be watching LOTS of football and spending time with friends and family. I will also be trying to relax and not think about all the packing and small things I need to do before leaving on Wednesday. I cannot believe this time next week we will be in Okinawa!

Until Next Time,
